Alliteration Alliteration is when you use the same initial letter or sound beginning words close together in a sentence or name. For instance:
A miss is as good as a mile, Peter Parker picked a peck of pickled peppers1, Coca-Cola, or Marilyn Monroe. It’s “well known” that the names of comic-book heroes are often alliterative. The Big Bang Theory made a thing about it in one episode (S3E16).
